To take a mortgage in France, income more than €62000 a year is necessary

The French banks became even more exacting to borrowers.

Experts of the mortgage broker La Centrale de financement came to such conclusion.

They see in it the investigation of an economic crisis and the restrictions introduced by the financial authorities since December of last year reports an information portal.

Three indicators which confirm it:

1) The average amount of the issued credits in the first half of the year 2020 increased by 9% in comparison with last year (from €191,008 to €208,297) because of increase in prices for the real estate.

2) The investigation, and is one more proof of insistence of banks: first of all the credits approve to more and more wealthy families. The average annual earnings of borrowers for this period increased by €7500: from €55,255 to €62,743 (or from €4600 to €5200 a month).

3) The average size of a contribution demanded by banks grew by 20% in the second quarter that leveled the decrease recorded for the first three months of year. Thus, its amount is €47,700 against €39,750 the previous year.

"This increase is explained by influence of crisis on a financial position of many borrowers", – Silvain Lefebvre, the president of La Centrale de financement says. Therefore, banks give preference to the most reliable profiles and borrowers capable to bring a big contribution".
