Receipt in the Italian VUZ

As well as in Russia, the Italian education can be divided into three levels: preschool education, secondary education and the higher education.

In this article it will be a question of receiving higher education and of how to enter to the Italian VUZ.

The higher education system is possible only after 12 years of training at school and in the presence of the certificate about secondary education.

The higher education system can be subdivided into three groups: laurea, laurea con ciclo unico and magistrale.

  • Laurea trienale is three-year training, an analog of our bachelor degree.
  • Laurea con ciclo unico – five - six years' education, depends on specialty, as a rule, medical and legal specialties concern them.
  • Magistrale is a magistracy, means continuation of training after trienale.

All higher education institutions in Italy can be divided into state and non-state. Training cost in state universities fluctuates from 500 to 3000 euros a year. But in all higher education institutions the system of release from payment for training works if the total revenues of family in a year on the person do not exceed from 10000 to 18000 euros a year. Training in non-state higher education institutions fluctuates from 8000 to 22000 euros a year, no privileges for students happen there.

At all universities "credit system" works, it is designated as CFU, one CFU to =25 hours, in one academic year the student shall gather from 60-120 credits, depending on higher education institution and specialty.

There are several types of faculties:

  1. Faculties with free access
  2. Faculties with limited set

Free set or Accesso libero, means passing of examination on knowledge of language (prova di lingua), and, at some universities, passing of additional examinations which in higher education institution do not influence transfer, but their not passing imposes certain debts which need to be handed over in the first year of training. And examination on knowledge of language is obligatory decisive. At negative result, the entrant cannot be enrolled. Required B2 language level. It is enough to some higher education institutions to show the certificate of CILS, CELI or PLIDA of B2 level, and then you can be exempted from examination on knowledge of language.

Limited set or numero programmato are faculties which have a certain quota of places and for these faculties big tender, as a rule, it is medical and architectural. In addition to examination on level of proficiency in Italian, there are still profile entrance examinations which result already influences transfer.

There are 2 most important requirements for receipt:

  1. Knowledge of Italian at the B2 level.
  2. Availability of 12 years of education, is possible more. It can be 12 years of school, 10/11 years of school +2/1 of year at the University, 9 years of school + 3 years in Technical school, College, etc.

The first that you need to make – to decide on the University.

This process sometimes can be dragged out very strongly. First of all decide for yourself what for you is a priority: the place (the city, the region, remoteness to the sea), specialty, prestigiousness of the university, simplicity and a guarantee of receipt and cost.

Payment as such for training as in the Russian HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, in Italy is not present, the tax which is calculated proceeding from your income is paid.

The first contribution is obligatory for all, the cost of the subsequent payments (II and III rata), depend on the total revenues of family (if you provide necessary documents).

Further it is necessary to put down an apostille on the certificate and the diploma or the academic reference. An apostille — the special sign, a seal treating on official documents of non-commercial character. Has no expiration date. Apostilles are issued at the Ministry of Education in each area.

The following documents are necessary for putting down of an apostille:

  1. The application for putting down of an apostille (it is filled on the place).
  2. Russian Federation citizen passport.
  3. The document on payment of the state fee (in the single original copy). Cost 1500r for each document with an insert.
  4. The certificate, the diploma (with inserts) or the academic reference. Production time up to 45 days.

Then it is necessary to translate documents (the certificate, the diploma or the academic reference with all inserts and apostilles) into Italian at the translators accredited at Consulate. The translation can be made, but the Consulate places great demands on transfer and registration, documents can return to you back, without having assured.

The average cost of the translation for the certificate and the diploma is 6000 rubles. It is possible to cut down expenses – to translate documents and to give on correction to the accredited translators, cost will be about 3000 rubles.

After the translation of documents, they need to be legalized. The certificate, the diploma or the academic reference with apostilles and the translations need to be legalized for receiving DICHIARAZIONE DI VALORE IN LOCO (abbr. DDV). For this purpose all received documents: the certificate, the diploma or the academic reference with the translation and apostilles (originals) + 2 copies of all these documents + 1 copy of the Russian international passport, for confirmation it is necessary to bring in Social department of Consulate.

Registration cost:

  • confirmation of 31 euros
  • translation assurance (1 leaf) of 9 euros
  • assurance of the copy (1 leaf) of 7 euros

The total cost is about 150 - 180 euros for two documents. Document creation term: from 5 days (if to do till April) to 1 month (April, May, June).

Also it is necessary to fill and certify the statement in the MODELLO University and 1 photo of Social department of Consulate 3 x 4. After assurance of documents make their copy as the copy should be handed over in IIC (Institute of the Italian Culture).

Assurance cost:

34 euros – the photo

10 euros – modello

MODELLO and the photo can be assured only after on the website of MIUR there is information on the number of places for foreign students at each faculty the forthcoming academic year. As a rule, end of April, May. The number of places for foreign students changes every year (can remove in general) therefore very important to look whether there are places the forthcoming year. xgeneve.ch

After assurance of documents, they need to be given to IIK. Submission due dates of documents are published on the website of IIK. In turn IIK sends copies of your documents to the University chosen by you.

After you filed all documents to IIK, approximately in a month at the end of July - the beginning of August, IIK will tell you that the invitation came from the university about passing of prova di lingua. This invitation will come to you to mail.

Further it is necessary to collect documents for the visa and their tax in Consulate. Production time makes 3 days. The consular fee is not collected. The visa is issued for half a year (till January of the next year), but within 8 days after arrival you need to file documents on the residence permit.

Specialists of the AWAY REALTY company with pleasure will consult you concerning receipt of a visa to Italy or the Italian residence permit, will help with execution of the necessary documents and will accompany you continually executions of your dream.
