The medieval castle in Budva

Description

The medieval castle is located in Budva, Montenegro. The area of the lock is 1200 sq.m. The lock is located on the first line of the sea and possesses panoramic views. The lock has been built in the 15th century for protection of the settlement against attacks from the sea. Massive walls and gate reliably protected besieged. The ruins of the medieval Saint church of Maria which have remained in fortress are one of its most interesting objects and the lock was called as Saint Maria's fortress in days of old. Today the lock is the complex of ancient constructions consisting of towers, fortifications, bastions, ladders, transitions and different and-level platforms. At the first and second levels of fortress there are open terraces on which are located restaurant, bars and cafe. All infrastructure of Budva nearby.
