In Punta-Ala there is the largest harbor on the Tuscan coast for yachts. Naturally, sailing regattas are carried out here. Despite some isolation of the resort from the large cities of Italy, the numerous excursion routes covering many considerable places not only in Tuscany but also across all Italy are possible. Thanks to existence of high-speed trains, the trip to Pisa, Lucca, Florence and even more remote cities can quite fit in in one day.
