Garmisch-Partenkirchen which is often called just Garmish - the largest and most known ski resort of Germany. And only, representing this country in prestigious club Best Of The Alps.

Now in the resort 26 thousand inhabitants live. It almost entirely consists of the medieval "gingerbread" lodges painted with bible motives. Glavnaya Street of the resort – Lyudvigstrasse – passes in the same place where there was Roman Via Claudia Road connecting Augsburg and Bozen two thousand years ago.

Two ski areas of Garmisch-Partenkirchen – the Tsugshpittse (zugspitze) and Garmisch-Classic plateau – in total make 62 km of routes. Gormish-Klassik in turn shares on Housberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze which in the sum give 40 km of routes. On the glacier to Zugspitze driving is possible from October to May.
