According to the research Capital Raising Survey 2021 managing directors of real estate investments in 2020 attracted not less than 123 billion euros to the real estate, not entering listings.
Despite such impressive amount, total amount of the capital decreased in comparison with record 196 billion euros in 2019. The CEO of INREV considers that decrease in level of the attracted capital in 2020 clearly is shown by Covid-19 consequences. He also noted that the interest of investors in the real estate is retained that allows to do positive forecasts for the future.
In Europe the trend of investment into the residential real estate against the background of stable indicators is traced. It is complemented with growth of interest of institutional investors in the sector in those European markets where housing was less settled asset class until recently.
Transition to the choice of different sectors of the real estate reflects the growing appetite of investors to diversified strategy at the expense of the large assets bringing stable income with low leverage in several countries at once. Even more often this approach attracts and is achievable both for small investors, and for their larger colleagues.
