From 2095 members of the list of billionaires of the world of Forbes of 2020 552 live in only ten cities. The sixth year in a row more and more richest people call New York the house: this year they are eight more, than in previous – 92.
China reserves a country title with the greatest number of the cities in TOP-10. Shenzhen rose by one position, Shanghai and Beijing did not change the place in a year. Hong Kong became the city with the second largest number of billionaires in the world again. In total 228 richest people live in these four Chinese cities.
Singapore rushed in TOP-10, having replaced Seoul which was on the ninth place last year. Nine new billionaires since 2019, and the capital of South Korea moved to the city-state in Southeast Asia, on the contrary – abandoned 13 people. Growth of costs for development and foreign competition already undermined a condition of the pharmaceutical sector of South Korea before the concerns connected with a coronavirus struck national economy at the end of February.
