According to the report of analyst company, in September, 2020 the number of the tenants who replaced the residence in London increased by 45% in comparison with similar month of last year and for 53% in comparison with August. It is connected with the fact that many postponed moving because of a pandemic though usually made it in the summer, writes an information portal.
September historically is the most active month in a year for the market of lease of London. However while last year the number of the moved tenants increased by 31% from August to September, this year this indicator was 53% that means that there are more tenants, than usually, decided to replace housing. The considerable gain of number of the foreign tenants who are coming back to the capital was at the same time observed.
The number of requests for the rent real estate in London in September jumped by 49% in comparison with the previous year, and number of viewings and offers – for 47%. Nevertheless, at the end of September in the market of lease of the capital twice more offers, than last year were observed. It means that tenants had more choice, and they can bargain. Respectively, the number of the owners who decided to lower lease cost increased by 325%.
"September was exclusively active month as we observed how foreign tenants come back to London and the number of the international students renting the real estate when the universities confirmed the schedules on training grows", – the head of department of lease of the British company of the real estate Richard Davies says.
