Sales of housing in Spain exceeded pre-crisis level
In April, 2021 houses and apartments in the country it was sold 3.1% more, than in 2019 and 91% more, than in similar month of the 2020th.
According to Board of registrars, in April, 2021 sales of housing in Spain increased by 3.1% in comparison with similar month 2019 and for 91% in comparison with the same period of the 2020th.
If to consider the total amount of real estate transactions, including commercial objects, it exceeded the level of April, 2019 for 9.3%, reports an information portal.
In a year the quantity of mortgage loans in Spain grew by 31.5%. It is connected with the fact that buyers sought to replace housing or to refinance the credits as much as possible to use unusually low interest rates. In comparison with April, 2019 the level of mortgage lending increased by 8.8%.
Activization of economic activity and great demand on larger housing, it seems, led also to increase in prices. Analysts of the estimated company report about rise in prices of housing in May, 2021 for 1.3% year on year. According to them, the sharpest growth was observed on islands and the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
