The pathos will spend millions for "clever" infrastructure

In development of municipality there are 10 innovative projects designed to change completely the image of the Cyprian resort.

While the Pathos lags behind other cities of Cyprus on developer activity, now it begins to restore former intensity of construction, after removal of quarantine restrictions.

However the mayor Pafosa Fedon Fedonos said that in parallel with construction of luxurious apartments and country houses which are calculated on the scheme of investment nationality the municipality develops own innovative projects, writes an information portal.

"At the moment there are 10 main projects which will considerably change shape and functioning of the city, including regeneration of network of public transport", – the city's mayor said.

The authorities will spend €9 million for connecting city archeological sites to the linear park 14 km long to improve impressions of visitors. Even more than €12 million will go for reconstruction of handouts Hellas, Griva Dhigenis and Neophytou Nikolaides. The traditional center Kato Pafosa Psarokhori will be renovirovan that will cost €3.8 million. The municipality will invest €7.6 million in modernization of infrastructure of public transport in Pathos and to Geroskip, including creation of the central bus station in the Caravel and also two small transit hubs in port and around Tombs of Kings.

According to Fedon Fedonos, €20 million will be spent only for "clever" development of the city. In Pathos and to Geroskip will establish 196 "smart" bus stops which will inform passengers in real time on arrival of their bus. Also there will be an intellectual street lighting and special columns collecting information on the environment and weather. They will be able to obtain the main information on temperature, humidity, speed and the direction of wind. Also they will be able to collect data on more difficult questions, such as noise and air pollution and also to provide to drivers on roads Internet access, acting as points of access of Wi-fi.

At last, the authorities are going to introduce a digital geographic information system which will become a peculiar virtual map of the city with information practically on everything. The system will be able to provide in real time information on water consumption in green zones, about archaeological parks, the course of issue of construction licenses and even empty seats on parkings. It will interact with other appendix which will supply in turn with information mobile applications of citizens.
