The Kingdom of Thailand is the tropical paradise surrounded with a rich southeast Asian landscape and emerald equatorial waters. This consolidation of solar islands in the south and the urbanized megalopolises which show permanent progress of this developing nation.

Despite numerous political and military shocks, respect of the nation for the monarchy remained invariable. And even in the presence of certain restrictions in Thailand, the hospitable atmosphere reigns here. It is not surprising that national economy continues to prosper.

Bangkok

Bangkok - one of the most dynamically developing capitals of Southeast Asia. It is located on Central Valley and geographically divided by the river Chaupkhraya system. The tropical monsoonal climate with rainfall generally in September and October is characteristic of Bangkok.

The most part of Bangkok represents the modern megalopolis with the skyscrapers and streets filled with the markets in which inexpensive goods are on sale.

Bangkok is heart of Thailand, its commercial, spiritual, diplomatic, financial and education center. The most part of the private and public universities and Buddhist schools is exactly here.

In the city the most extensive bus network in the world. Effectively the subway and the light subway works. On all city so-called "tuk-tuk" (the cars made as motorcycles) drive about.

Central and east Thailand

Central Valley of Thailand is the house for the most part of the population of the country. The highest concentration of people lives in the district of the capital - Bangkok.  

East Thailand is framed with a mountain chain in the north and is washed by the Gulf of Thailand in the south. The economic region known as East Coast (Eastern Seaboard) now actively develops that includes expansion and improvement of infrastructure. Kao-Takiab's beach is known generally thanks to the temple on the hill in which macaques live. Because of them the temple also received the name the Monkey temple.

Kao-Tao's beach – one of the quietest beaches in Huakhin. Here small local small restaurants, hotel and the territory covered with pine trees are located.

The beach of Huts Sai Noi are a small sandy beach overlooking the gulf and the island of Co-Singto (The lion's island) and Ko-Tao (Turtle Island).

Southern Thailand

The southern Thailand is on the Malay Peninsula and is generally known for the tropical charm: the islands scattered across all Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, white sandy beaches and the well-known places for diving.

Thanks to popularity of Phuket, the neighboring islands and some cities on the continent (especially, to provnition of Pkhangnga, Krabi and Trang), the tourist sector stimulates economy of the southern Thailand.

Mountain chains, hills and river valleys characters for this part of the peninsula. Here the ecotourism which includes mountain expeditions and expeditions on a canoe gains popularity.

Key zones

Phuket is the island which beaches are recognized one of the best in the world. Daily flights from Bangkok bring local and foreign tourists here.

Even before Phuket became one of the favourite directions of vacationers from around the world, there was a so-called "melting copper" of cultures. Here coexist in the world of community of Buddhists, Thais, Chinese, Muslims and even sea Roma.

Phuket is known for the beaches, including the beach Mai-Hao which is near the airport, but in the distance from the zones overflowed with tourists; the Surin beach loved by celebrities; the Patong beach, the largest beach resort with the known club life; the Kata-Yai beach is the noisy, but net tourist beach with good surfing; the Joint-stock company-Chalong beach with its yacht piers; Ravai beach popular the small restaurants; and quiet beach Nye-Harn.

Phuket is surrounded with such beautiful islands as Ko-Yao and Co-Bon.

The Province of Surattani is one more large destination. From the East views of the Gulf of Thailand open, and the woods, fields, plantations of a coco and rubber, calcareous mountains are characteristic of a landscape. Thanks to islands Samui, Pkhangan, Tao and to Natsionalny to the park of Angtkhong (occupying 42 islands), Surattani is one of the most demanded destinations.

The island Samui is famous for natural beauty of beaches, coral reeves and tropical forests. Because of popularity of the region, many real estate objects are under construction here, however construction is regulated by special restrictions and measures. The most popular beaches Samui:

The Chaveng beach – the most known of beaches Samui with legendary night life and spectacular boxing duels.

The beach Lai of Seth is considered one of the best beaches on the island. There are superficial waters which are quiet the most part of year, and the wonderful beach with ranks of palm trees. In the north there are 9 cities, the most important of which: Chiang Mai (the largest in the region), the Sukhothai (is once the capital of Thailand), Nan (the historic town with temples and surrounded with mountains), Chiangray (from where it is possible to get to "a gold triangle" where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet). The region is known for the dialect.

Northeast Thailand

This region is also called Isan, it was located on the Korat plateau and is washed by the Mekong River. The lines similar to the culture of the neighboring Laos are characteristic of local culture. Here the folklore, festive processions and kitchen which differ from the rest of Thailand.
