Description

The historical lock of the 16th century surrounded with gardens is located in the field of Moree, Scotland. From the lock the stunning view of the hills of Kromdale and the vicinity opens. The lock was considerably expanded in 1765 with addition of east and western wings whose design has been executed by the Scottish architect John Adam.

The lock consists of 4 floors, including the big cellar and the two-storeyed attic. On both sides of the main lock are located east and western wing which form u-shaped form of the building with aula. The main entrance in the lock is on the northern height.

The current design provides placement on the first floor, the second and third floors. The fourth floor, the attic and the second attic offer the excellent additional potential for design taking into account the corresponding permissions.

For these years many improvements and additions have been made, wood-fired furnaces, modern bathrooms and the equipped kitchen are installed. The property has kept a lot of things from the original features and elegance, and it is shown in different rooms, for example the ballroom, the living room and billiard room. From many bedrooms the beautiful view of rural landscapes opens.

The lock is surrounded with 35 acres (14 hectares) of lands and is near the town of Grantown. Grantown on Shpy - fine example of the georgiansky town is also located on the outskirts of national park Kerngorm. In the city there is a number of shops, hotels, restaurants, banks, and also hospital, the medical center and refueling station. Daily trains go to Inverness and to Avimor's South, and also near the airport of Inverness.
