Description

The tremendous lock with private port is located on the bank of Lake Geneva in Pranzhena, the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. The lock is in the territory of 37,000 sq.m with the private wood and the park. The living space of the lock makes about 1,300 sq.m. 

The lock consists of 4 floors, 22 rooms which include 4 ballrooms for reception of guests and library. This building is on South side and has unique arrangement directly over water.

The lock has been constructed in 1896 as the summer residence of Jean-Philippe Ouort, the son Charles-Frederik Ouort, the famous Parisian royal fashion designer.

Thanks to the latest restoration works the lock completely meets standard expectations of comfort, but at the same time keeps the historical features. The main building is built directly over water and keeps on the massive stone columns established directly in Lake Geneva. External brick walls are covered with dark tree that corresponds to royal residences in Paris.

In ball rooms there are big stone ladders with sculptures from tree and velvet floor covering.

The first floor about 400 sq.m has been decorated in classical style of Bel Epok. There is the central living room, office, big library, professionally equipped kitchen with modern household appliances and wide balcony from which the stunning view of the lake and mountains opens.

The second floor about 330 sq.m has been restored according to modern standards, but has kept classical style and high ceilings. Here two spacious living rooms with parquet floors, three luxurious bedrooms, three bathrooms, modern kitchen and wide balcony from which the delightful panorama to Lake Geneva opens are located.

The third floor of 320 sq.m represents comfortable duplex with modern conveniences. It consists of reception, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, professionally equipped kitchen, balcony and three rooms on the attic.

The first floor has access to the boat and private port about 5,000 sq.m, also on the first floor includes gym and sauna.

The house for personnel about 100 sq.m is located near the main building and kitchens, 2 bedrooms and the bathroom consist of the living room.
