Description

The tremendous lock is in the settlement of Gatika, the province Biskaya, Spain. This lock by right can be considered as one of the most impressive and beautiful sights of Spain. It has been restored, its area is 2,400 sq.m, and plottage and the adjacent territory – 35,000 sq.m. The lock is equipped with all modern conveniences: elevator, heating, conditioner, modern plumbing fixtures. Spacious salons and living rooms with fireplaces. 11 bedrooms. 9 bathrooms.

History of this unique lock begins the counting since the 8th century. On legend, there lived two families which were awfully at enmity among themselves here, the hostility lasted quite long time, here took place and intrigues and murders. And here in the XI century one of the Butron families were engaged in creation of ordinary typical medieval tower on the house.

In the XIV century this not remarkable tower is remade in the lock. Further this town was chosen by some kings, and at government of Catholic Kings the lock becomes peculiar residence.
