Description

The luxury lock with rich history is in 50 km to the southeast from Paris, France. The lock has been constructed in 1766 by the architect Jean-Baptiste Chabertom at the request of the king. The lock updated in 1980 is in remarkable state now. In the lock, of 800 sq.m, there are 20 rooms located on 3 floors apart from the attic and wine cellar. In the lock two-meter walls, high ceilings (1 floor - 5 m, the 2nd floor - 3.80 m, the 3rd floor - 2.80 m), the lock is surrounded with ditch and has access gate.

On the first floor there is spacious lobby with the ladder conducting on upper floors, the small dining room, the big dining room, the living room, office, kitchen, the storeroom, the hall. On the second floor the two-room suit from the bathroom in the right wing, in the center and in the left wing 3 bedrooms with bathrooms and terraces. The lock is decorated with beautiful architectural elements and has great interior design with fireplaces in rooms, pictures on walls, wooden products and antiquarian tile. On the third floor there are 3-roomed apartments with the bathroom and the bedroom. 

Around the lock the ancient formal garden of the 18th century in which beauty and practicality is wonderfully combined is located. This excellent park with ancient statues, obelisk, belvedere, towers, three ponds, box figures, greenhouses, flower beds, also has orchard, greenhouses and kitchen garden.

In the territory, of 70 hectares, additional constructions are located: stables, masterful, technical rooms, the house of the watchman and the separate house outside the park. The lock is located in 7 km from the well-known lock Waugh-le-Vikont thanks to whose influence Versailles has been constructed.
