The magnificent lock of Renaissance is located in the picturesque region in 90 km from Vienna. It is in the central part of the well-known North east part of Austria – Valdfirtel. Romantically surrounded with the woods on watercourse of Tye, the lock fascinates by the unique beauty Renaissance which conform to modern standards of luxury and also the mysterious 800-year history from last glory before the present days. Marble statues, wall frescos, mysterious stucco molding of ceiling and the arches and incrustation keep in memory century legends on knights and governors of crusaders, on the fatal events which have happened in majestic chambers of the lock.

The oldest part of the lock is the tower erected in the 12th century which was expanded in the 14th century to square construction with four towers with ditch. As a result of major repair from 1580 to 1592 the lock has been reconstructed in the Renaissance style. Samples of the known stucco molding on the second and third floors and lock chapel belong to this period, other elements have been created in the 1730th years or during era of late baroque. Ceilings of three main rooms on the second floor are decorated with the modelled reliefs showing elements of the earth, air, fire and water.

It is necessary to mention      the Tavern of the lock which has very well remained and supported in good condition and the Terrace for coffee turned  towards infinite meadows and the woods which enjoy popularity thanks to culinary hospitality and cosiness.

In all territory of the lock for the enterprising person there is natural incentive for implementation of the different ideas – opening tennis or golf club, fine hotel SPA center of luxury range. The owner will receive 5,500 sq.m. of magnificent building furnished and equipped with all modern devices and also the well-groomed park of 70,000 sq.m  which avenues conduct to cozy pavilions, fountains and impressive statues and  well tonsured green oasis, and even to the lonely romantic lake and well remained agricultural constructions surrounded with century trees which hide small site for possible landing of the helicopter and even underground antiatomic shelter in case of emergency situation. In 2005 complete repair of the lock has been made, are carried out new water, electro – and heating systems. From the state the grant for repair of ceilings and walls has been allocated. The construction permit of the 5th star hotel is got and the business plan on development golf of club and also full support is prepared from community concerning projects in the field of tourism and development.
