Description

The delightful lock is located in the city of Vila-Nova-de-Milfontesh, Portugal. The lock has been constructed between 1599 and 1602 for protection of the Miry River and the city of Milfontesh against the attacks of pirates. By 1906 the lock has been ruined and sold at auction. At present the lock is used as hotel and has 9 bedrooms, library, wine cellar, terrace and garden. All infrastructure nearby. In the neighbourhood the great restaurant is located.
